There is no registration fee payable, so all that is necessary is for you to complete a registration form and you will be included if eligible. Use is not compulsory.
When you register with us there is the facility that if you feel you require a carer to travel with and aid you, we will note that requirement so when you book a journey it will be expected that a carer will be accompanying you without charge. Likewise if your children are under 5 and you have registered with the scheme, then it will be noted and they will travel without charge.
Literally means we will pick you up from home and take you to your destination, and on the return journey we will take you back to your home.
There are two services, East and West, but where you live determines which bus picks you up. The scheduler will consider any requests you may make for a journey, but generally we try to provide this service for as many Mendip residents as possible and therefore it is impractical to travel too far from the area. |

We ask those who wish to use the service to ring the booking line:
01749 344141 between 1.30pm and 3.30pm, up to seven days before the service is required. The scheduler will inform you of the available pickup times and the price while you are on the telephone.
The current service will pick you up/drop off between these times, but in the future it may be extended. If you require a service outside of these times please enquire at the office because all the requests are considered, although it will not be on the dial-a-ride service.
Those individuals who possess a Somerset Travel Pass qualify for a 50% reduction in charges with a maximum concession of six pounds. Such concessions apply to all Dial-a-Ride services
Operated purely by volunteer car drivers to take registered individuals to medical appointments outside of Mendip District Council area.
Those who wish to use this service should ring the booking line 01749 344141 when we will be pleased to take your instructions. A charge will be levied for this type of transport.
