Bluebird Care and Mendip Community Transport Launch Partnership to Bring New Minibus Service to Mendip Residents within the Wells area
A new minibus serving the Wells area is set to make a real difference to local residents who rely on community transport service to stay connected, thanks to a new partnership between Bluebird Care and Mendip Community Transport (MCT).
Bluebird Care, a leading provider of home care services in the area, has joined forces with MCT to fund a dedicated minibus operating across the Wells area, providing vital transport links for residents who might otherwise struggle to get out and about.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to tackling isolation and supporting the independence of local people, values that sit at the heart of both organisations.

The sponsored minibus is running on Route 67 which travels on a regular basis serving villages between Wells and Wedmore as well as meeting the connecting vehicle to travel on to Burnham on Sea Monday to Friday. The service also runs on Saturday between Wells and Wedmore thus helping residents to complete 1800 journeys a month.
Mendip Community Transport has been providing community transport across the Mendip district for 24 years, offering an essential lifeline for people with limited access to public transport, including older residents, people with disabilities, and those living in rural areas.
